The United Methodist Student Loan Program

The United Methodist Student Loan Fund has provided financial assistance to their members since 1868.

An applicant must be:

  • An active, full member of a United Methodist Church for at least one year prior to application
  • A citizen or permanent resident of The United States
  • Admitted to a degree program in an accredited professional or graduate school
  • Maintaining at least a C average

Loans are not made to students on academic or disciplinary probation.

Loans are made per calendar year (January 1-December 31) at six percent interest (6%).

United Methodist students can borrow $2,500.00 annually. Part-time students can borrow $1,250.00 per year.

Application Deadlines:

Fall......................................July 1 - October 15
Winter/Spring........................November 1 - February 15
Summer................................April 15 - June 15
Repayment of your loan will begin six (6) months after graduation or withdrawal from school.
