January 1985, he transferred to the Alabama-West <=

UMC-Tuskegee Institute, AL. From June 1997 – May 2004, Rev. Outlaw
served as pastor of Toulminville – Warren Street
United Methodist
Church in Mobile, Alabama.
On June 9, 2004, he was appointed by Bishop Larry Go=
odpaster
to serve as the Superintendent of the Baypines
District of the Alabama-West Florida
Conference.

Outlaw taught Church History, Theology and Ethics at Miles College and La=
wson
State Community College, Birmingham, Alabama, 1980-1984.
Rev.
Outlaw has preached and studied missions in Jamaica
and the Dominican =
Republic.
In April 1993, he was a guest of the Methodist=
Church of Cuba,
preaching in Havanna and represented the United Methodist Church<=
/st1:PlaceType>
in establishing relationships between the two Methodists bodies.
In
May 1994, he was a North American delegate to the first Pan African Metho=
dist
Regional Evangelism Conference held in Nairobi,

37 years, he has been married to Amanda Kay Carr of Birmingham, AL. Amand=

employed as the County Agent for Urban and Non-Traditional Programs of the
Alabama Cooperative Extension System - Mobile. They are the proud
parents of three children, two daughters and one son: Johanna Kenese, a computer analyst engineer; Rashida
Asha, a former Peace Corps Volunteer, teaches=
middle
school in Kuwait, and Ahmed Asim, a comp=
uter
information systems analyst, residing in Birmingham.
